Welcome Message - From the Director

Welcome to the EKU Adult Education Program

  Message from  Aileen Perkins, Director

At EKU, we recognize education is a lifelong process. At the same time, we understand that adults are busy and want to get the most from their time and energy they put into their classes. You will find that at the EKU Adult Education Program, the staff and instructors are very dedicated to supporting adults who are interested in continuing their education. We will work with you side-by-side to help you to succeed.

The EKU Adult Education Program is here to provide the resources you may need to achieve your educational and career goals. We offer free GED classes, free ESL classes, plus additional enriching and productive sessions/exams such as an ACT Prep course, and Paraeducator Certification (exam). We are eager to partner with you and support you in your efforts to become college and/or career ready.

You are welcome to contact us. Please let us know how we might be of service to you. Feel free to stop by 1101 Van Hoose Drive on EKU's campus (in Richmond, KY) or call us at 859-622-8065. We can provide information for the EKU Adult Education programs in Madison and Clay counties.

Madison County is recognized as a Work Ready Community. A Kentucky Work Ready Community certification is a measure of a county’s workforce quality. It is an assurance to business and industry that the community is committed to providing the highly-skilled workforce required in today’s competitive global economy. The EKU Adult Education Program is proud to support this effort through Job Ready and NCRC classes, trainings and assessments. Employers are welcome to contact Aileen Perkins, Director for information to support their applicants/future employees to be "work ready' for their organization. Reference:
