New GED Students - How to Begin

First, call 622-8065 for Madison County, or 606-599-1230 for Clay County to schedule a pre-assessment/orientation date/time (day and evening meetings available)

After the pre-assessment is complete, meet with an Adult Ed Instructor to review results and schedule class times and/or your GED Ready exam. 

Students will be able to begin your GED preparation immediately.


How to Begin -- Complete Your National Career Ready Certification

First, call 622-8065 for Madison County, or 606-599-1230 for Clay County to register for a NCRC class (day and evening classes available)

Review EKU Adult Education Program - NCRC information at EKU Adult Education Program - NCRC

Students will complete a pre-assessment -- based on the results, students will be able to prepare for the exam.

The NCRC exam is given at the EKU Adult Education Program every 6 weeks (or with advance planning, the NCRC exam can be scheduled for a specific group, if needed).

How to Begin - Complete the Kentucky Paraeducator Certification

 First, call 622-8065 for Madison County, or 606-599-1230 for Clay County to register for a Paraeducator class.
Students will complete a pre-assessment -- based on the results, students will be able to prepare for the exam.

How to Begin - Get College Ready (ACT Prep, College Entrace Exam Prep)

First,  call 622-8065 for Madison County, or 606-599-1230 for Clay County to schedule a pre-assessment. Day and evening testing dates are available.
After the pre-assessment is complete, meet with an Adult Ed Instructor to review results and discuss what academic areas you want to focus on. Schedule specific class times to work with a certified instructor over a 4-6 week period. 
Post-test in academic area after a 4-6 week period (to show the academic gain achieved). Based on the results of the post-test, you can then schedule your admission test with the college testing office.
