Attention Current & Future College Students

If you are currently enrolled in development level math, reading or English course -– or -- If you are planning to enroll in college in the next term and you are working to meet admission requirements, the EKU - Kentucky Adult Education Program can help! All services provided by the EKU Adult Education Program are provided to particpants at no charge!

College Prep Boot Camp - Get Admitted to College!

Goal: Meet or exceed admission requirements to be enrolled in college for Fall 2017.
Plan: Call EKU Adult Ed Program in April or early May 2017 to register (classes are provided free to you -- provided with grant funds). Set Your Own Schedule during the dates of May 22 - June 23.  You will work with an assigned instructor on the specific areas needed during these dates (both face to face and some distance work). Post-Test with the Adult Ed program by June 23 to show academic progress in academic areas needed!
Final Review/Prep (use as needed): July 10 - 28 - Work with the Adult Ed program to review, as needed. Set a date/time to complete your College Admission Test before July 28.

Through the EKU Kentucky Adult Education Program, current or soon to be college students will be able to:

  • Work with a certified instructor in math or reading/language arts to develop skills in math, reading and/or language, (i.e., student will attend class meetings & complete HW assignments over the next 4-6 weeks to develop skills)
  • Pre-test and post-test with the EKU Kentucky Adult Ed program to demonstrate your academic gain in math, reading and/or language
  • For Current EKU students - you will arrange for a Placement Test with the EKU Testing Office (Whitaker Building). Once you “test up” or “test out” of either a 090 or a 095 class, you will then be able to revise your schedule and move on to the next level of class needed (such as, 100 level math, reading or language courses needed).
  • For New College Students -- you will be able to complete placement tests for admission to college, (ACT, KYOTE, or other placement tests - see your college testing office for specific admission test options available).
